Auxiliary funds the purchase of more Hospital Equipment
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Auxiliary once again funds the purchase of new equipment for hospital departments. The Auxiliary volunteers continue to play an important role in the organization. Medical Scholarships and Equipment have been funded by the efforts of the Auxiliary since it was organized in 1962.
The Auxiliary manages the Gift Shop, provides nursing scholarships, co-hosts the blood drives with the American Red Cross and is involved with the annual health fair and other fund drives the hospital sponsors throughout the year. They have also been serving as greeters by the hospital entrances to assist patients and visitors as they arrive.
Each year, the Auxiliary makes a generous donation for necessary equipment at the hospital. This year, the group presented Tony Schwarm, MBSH President and the managers of Cardiac Rehab and the Laboratory a check for $5,000.00 to purchase a new treadmill for Cardiac Rehab and a Mobile Phlebotomy Workstation for the Lab.
“We sincerely appreciate the continuous support of the Auxiliary for the service they provide in our hospital,” said Tony Schwarm, MBSH President. “MBSH is extremely grateful for their generosity and partnership. Together we are improving health care in our community.”
