Do You Need Health Insurance?
You are probably hearing a lot about new health insurance laws. As of January 2014, most Americans are now required to have health insurance. Depending on your income and family size, you may even be able to get reduced health insurance costs. The good news is you have more health insurance options than ever before. New health insurance plans must cover basic health needs like doctor visits, prescription medications, and hospital stays. BJC hospitals, including Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, are part of the new Marketplace in the Coventry PPO. Keep this in mind if you want to keep seeing your current doctors at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital and other BJC hospitals.
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital has certified assistants on site to answer your questions and help you apply for health insurance in the Marketplace. To schedule an appointment, contact the hospital at 573-468-4186. Certified Application Counselors will be available for walk-in visits (no appointments necessary) on March 8 from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital still participates in and accepts Blue Cross / Blue Shield insurance plans.
