There’s nothing like the feeling of accomplishing something together as a team. Meeting a challenge with teammates who work together, set up the ball, pass, hand off, and score is thrilling and deeply satisfying. That’s one of the reasons the employees at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital’s Therapy & Wellness enjoy their jobs: the teamwork.
The employees at MBSH Therapy & Wellness also know that teamwork is vital to creating seamless patient care and ensuring that patients receive the best treatment possible. Communication is key, and the therapy team works diligently to improve all avenues of communication so that the right information is relayed as the baton is passed each step of the way.
“Teamwork makes the job fun and shows others that we enjoy caring for our patients,” states Robin Butts, manager of MBSH Therapy & Wellness, “and our patients become part of the team.”
The MBSH Therapy & Wellness clinicians have more than 175 years of combined clinical experience, allowing a wide variety of knowledge and skills to be shared with each other to find the best answers to the patients’ needs, and help the patient “take the ball and run with it”.
“Being able to count on each other when things get tough is the glue that holds a team together. I’m proud of our team at MBSH Therapy & Wellness because we stick together through thick or thin to bring excellent care to our patients. We want our patients to know we care,” remarks Butts.
It takes a special group of people with the same goals to make a winning team. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital has many winning teams with the common goal of providing patient-centered care to improve the health of the people and communities they serve.
