Expert Care for Non-Healing Wounds
Coping with chronic, non-healing wounds can be frustrating and time-consuming. At the Wound Care Center, experts can help improve healing and quality of life. Hospital staff is trained in the specialized, comprehensive care of problem wounds using the most up-to-date approaches.

Your Physician Is Part of Our Team
Wound Care Center StaffThe treatment you receive at the Wound Care Center complements the care your own physician provides. Your physician will participate in developing a treatment plan and is kept informed of your progress every step of the way. We work together in providing the treatment that’s right for you.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
To help your healing, you may be referred for hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a simple but effective treatment in which you breathe pure oxygen inside a pressurized chamber.

The chamber has clear sides through which you can see your surroundings. It is in a comfortable treatment room equipped with a TV, and you have access to a DVD library. The therapy quickly and safely delivers high concentrations of oxygen to your bloodstream, which helps increase your body’s own natural wound-healing abilities.

Treatment Tailored to Your Needs
Because every patient’s wound is unique, you will have a thorough diagnostic exam to identify the type of wound and its underlying causes. A program -- tailored to your needs and the most effective approach -- may include:
  • Vascular evaluation
  • Debridement
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Laboratory evaluation
  • Infectious disease management
  • Physical therapy
  • Nutrition management
  • Pain management
  • Diabetic education
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Radiology
  • Helping file health insurance information
