Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital welcomed the New Year’s Baby early on January 1, 2021. Amirah Tan Abdullah, MD delivered Asher Lee at 3:24 AM to his proud mom, Calah Hawkins. Asher weighed in at a healthy 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 19-1/2 inches long. He was welcomed by his mom, siblings, 10-year old Alizay and 2-year old Alexander, grandparents, Bill and Pat Davis, other family, friends and staff. It was Alizay who selected the name for her baby brother.
To celebrate Asher’s arrival, a large basket of gifts was donated to help start his journey in life. The MBSH Mother Baby Unit assembled the basket labeled 2021 for the happy New Year. The Hospital Auxiliary added in a $100.00 check and Walmart donated a $50.00 gift card for Asher.
