Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital’s (MBSH) mission is to improve the health of the people and communities it serves. The hospital supports that mission through generous donations from its patients and their families as well as the community, allowing the hospital to maintain its tradition of excellence in patient care and community service. This includes being able to purchase the latest medical equipment and state-of-the-art technology with the help of the MBSH Ambassador Program.
“Since its launch more than 12 years ago, our hospital’s Ambassador Program has greatly contributed to the growth and success of our state-of-the-art community hospital,” said Lisa Lochner, president of MBSH. “Our Ambassador Program has helped us fulfill our hospital’s mission, particularly when it comes to purchasing much-needed materials, equipment and technology. Thanks to the support of our Ambassadors and donors, we’ve been able to make these critical patient care improvements.”
Ambassador Programs
The MBSH Ambassadors have created special programs, featuring various commemorative options, which honor donors, patients, families and loved ones. The Giving Tree and the Alta Farris, Don King and Melvin King Healing Garden are two of these charitable giving programs.
For the Giving Tree, donors can purchase a leaf or stone engraved with the name of a donor or ‘in honor of’ a donor’s loved one, which is featured on the Giving Tree in the lobby of the ER. For the Healing Garden, donors can honor loved ones by purchasing a commemorative brick, planter, bench or tree (with a special inscription), which is then prominently placed in the Healing Garden.
The Ambassadors also host an Annual Fundraising Dinner, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2022, at the Sullivan Eagles Hall. Guests will be able to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert, live music, and a silent and live auction, with all proceeds benefiting the hospital.
Remarkable Achievements
The Ambassador Program is making a difference in the local communities. In fact, it recently hit the $2 million mark in its fundraising efforts over the last 12 years, investing half a million dollars back into the hospital. This is an incredible milestone that will allow the hospital to continue to acquire state-of-the-art equipment and materials for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff.
How to Donate
MBSH appreciates all gifts, big and small. If you’re interested in supporting the hospital and its fundraising efforts, consider making a donation; purchasing a commemorative leaf for the Giving Tree or a brick, planter, or bench for the Healing Garden; and/or attending the upcoming Annual Fundraising Dinner in February.
