Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Announces New Orthopedic Clinic

Providing Comprehensive, Compassionate Care that’s Close to Home

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital (MBSH) is pleased to announce the addition of a new specialty service – the MBSH Orthopedic Clinic – which is located on the lower level of the Medical Office Building 1. This clinic offers comprehensive orthopedic care to patients, ranging from adolescents to adults. Some of these services include the evaluation and treatment of degenerative osteoarthritis of the hip and knee, as well as total joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. The MBSH Orthopedic Clinic eventually plans to include arthroscopic procedures for shoulder and knee disorders.

“We’re really excited to be able to bring these advanced orthopedic services to Sullivan and the surrounding communities,” said Lisa Lochner, president at MBSH. “From the initial evaluation and diagnosis to non-invasive treatment options and surgical procedures, this MBSH Orthopedic Clinic is just one more way we’re offering patients world-class medicine and the best doctors close to home.”

The MBSH Orthopedic Clinic is led by Paul Frewin, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip, knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Frewin earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vt., and completed his surgical internship at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky., where he also served as chief administrative resident. Dr. Frewin then completed his fellowship training in arthroscopic surgery/sports medicine and total joint replacement surgery at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

“My goal is to provide every patient with quality, compassionate care,” said Dr. Frewin. “I take pride in listening to and understanding my patients’ needs, while providing the proper guidance to help them make informed decisions about their medical care.”

As of June 6, 2023, the MBSH Orthopedic Clinic is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 4pm. To make an appointment with Dr. Frewin at the clinic, please call (573) 468-1974.
